From her earliest memories, Kate has enjoyed creating, foraging, painting, photographing and finding unique, stylish ways to accentuate the beauty around her. As an adult, her creative pursuits needed to be fitted around raising children along with developing businesses. She now styles and creates in her after-hours, around her full-time job as a general manager for a professional services firm.

Kate says she values every one of those minutes, whether it be creating, spending time with family, or adventuring. She believes that it is the building and holding on to memories and traditions throughout our life that helps contribute to a greater sense of belonging.

Kate’s first book, The After-hours Stylist, a collaboration with New Zealand interiors and lifestyle photographer Anna McLeod is available from Bateman Books.
